Adam Maskill – CSRC Tennis Pro
MEET THE COACH
Adam Maskill is an experienced tennis professional, certified by the U.S. Professional I Tennis Association and the British Lawn Tennis Association. As a top junior tennis player in Great Britain, he gained an athletic scholarship to study Exercise Science at both Louisville University and Murray State University. Additionally, he studied Sports Science at South Notts College in Nottingham, England, where we received a two-year degree in Sports Science. He is very passionate about tennis, which led him to begin his professional coaching career in 2005.
Adam Brings Experience
From a wide variety of coaching opportunities over the years. Prior to his work at Charlotte Swim and Racquet Club, he enjoyed coaching at several other tennis clubs, including Olde Providence Racquet Club, Russell Tennis Club, and Matthew Swim and Tennis Club. These experiences allowed Adam to work with a wide range of students from age 4 to adults, including ladies league teams. He also had the privilege of seeing many of his students become college-level players.
Helping Others Reach Their Potential
On the court is one of his favorite things about coaching. In addition to leading camps and tennis clinics, he offers private tennis lessons for adults and children. His wife, Jennifer, and son Hudson, who often spend time at the club, share his passion for tennis.

Sean Snee – CSRC Tennis Pro
Growing up as a junior tennis player outside of Pittsburgh, PA, Sean Snee is more than a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Ranking in the top 5 in the state and in the top 10 in the Middle States Tennis Association, Sean played collegiate tennis at Pennsylvania State University. Sean has over 24 years of tennis teaching experience. He has taught at Charlotte Tennis Academy, Olde Providence Racquet Club, Mountain Brook Tennis, and Swim Club, and the Barclay Downs Tennis and Swim Club. Sean loves to teach. He is passionate about teaching tennis to children and adults of all levels. Many of his students have continued their tennis careers in the collegiate arena as well. In addition to being a tennis professional, Sean enjoys outdoor hobbies such as hunting and fishing, as well as weightlifting. And if you ever visit his high school, you will find his name in the Tennis Hall of Fame.

Jake Spiva
Jake Spiva is more than familiar with the sport of tennis. He grew up playing at USTA tournaments in the Charlotte area and played high school tennis at Myers Park. Attending the CSRC tennis camp since the age of 7 helped foster his passion for the game and encouraged him to pursue other ways to enjoy the game. Jake has enjoyed attending coaching camps and clinics for the past few years. He is currently a freshman at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he is studying business.
Mia Basinger
Mia Basinger is thrilled to return for her fourth year as a tennis coach here at Charlotte Swim and Racquet Club. Playing competitive tennis in her childhood and adolescence, including junior tournaments, led her to become a starter on the Myers Park Varsity tennis team for her high school career.
In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor hobbies and music with friends, as well as teaching private tennis lessons. Mia is passionate about coaching children in tennis technique and sharing her passion for the game. As a recent graduate from Myers Park High School, she is excited to attend the University of Virginia this fall.

Mikaela Fross Garcia
Coach Mika is the newest addition to Adam Maskill Tennis at Charlotte Swim and Raquet Club. As a junior, she was a member of the Uruguay National Tennis Team and played in the Jr. World Cup in 2017. Mika earned her athletic scholarship to the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Coaching, Public Health, and Exercise Science. As captain of her tennis team, she also won tournament championship titles at the Regional Season and Conference Tournaments in 2021,2022, and 2023. She was also selected an All American 3 times. Mika came to us from New York where she was the head tennis coach at Evolution Tennis Academy. In Mika’s spare time, she enjoys music, spending as much time speaking to her family in Uruguay, and hanging out with friends. You can catch her watching all the Grand Slams and some soccer on the television too. She is excited to meet all the campers this year at summer camp!
About Adam Maskill Tennis Camp
Adam Maskill Tennis Camp, located on the site of the beautiful Charlotte Swim & Racquet Club, proudly provides exceptional tennis instruction. Focusing on the basic and foundational principles of tennis, Adam and his fellow instructors share their experience and passion for tennis through short sessions in small class sizes to optimize the learning environment.
Children from ages 5-15 can come and gain tennis instruction from our group of experienced and passionate instructors. Adam offers half-day and full-day instruction to meet the needs of every family. If your child would like to jump in the pool while at camp, please ensure they pass a brief test with Charlotte Racquet & Swim Club first, to adhere to club policy.
About Charlotte Swim & Racquet Club
Charlotte Swim & Racquet Club was incorporated in 1953 and currently has 400 members. Located in the heart of the Cotswold area, near the Dilworth and Elizabeth neighborhoods, CSRC is the area’s original swim and racquet club.
We are excited to provide a safe and comfortable space for children and adults of all levels to enjoy. Our seven tennis courts, two clay courts, and four lighted lights provide plenty of space for everyone to engage in the game. We also provide basketball goals and playgrounds for those who want to play something other than tennis. Not only do we provide extensive amenities for tennis enjoyment, but we also offer a variety of swimming amenities, including:
- L-shaped swimming pool with six, 25 meters, regulation swimming lanes for swimming competition.
- Wading pool for our youngest members.
- Wifi around the pool/courts for entertainment or work
- Large deck, with plenty of space to enjoy the sun or the shade
- Low-level, regulation diving boards for dive competition.
- Competitive and fun Swim and Dive Teams.
We are passionate about providing a space where people of all ages can relax and have fun.
